Navigating a shared driveway on Clement Avenue
We received a call from a homeowner right off Clement Avenue who was tearing out 1980s laminate flooring and kitchen cabinets. The problem wasn't the volume of debris, but the placement. Their driveway is a shared easement, barely nine feet wide, with a neighbor's pristine flower beds right on the property line. A standard 30-yarder from the big commercial haulers would have blocked the neighbor in completely, and leaving it curbside meant hauling trash across the public sidewalk for days.
I brought out our single-axle hook-lift truck, which allows us to maneuver bins into tighter spots than standard cable hoists can manage. We carefully backed a 15-yard low-boy right up to the garage door, placing thick wooden boards down to protect the pavers. My driver spent ten minutes just positioning the bin to ensure the neighbor had enough clearance to pull their sedan out. We swapped the bin twice over the weekend so the job never stalled.
Mateo fit that dumpster where three other companies said it was impossible to place without blocking the street.
